Who We Are
Our Mission
The DMV Ugandan Westnilers Association, Inc. (DUWA) is dedicated to fostering community, culture, and development among individuals of Westnile descent residing in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia and other states with North America and Canada. We strive to promote the rich cultural heritage of the Westnile region of Uganda, facilitate social and economic empowerment, and strengthen ties among our members while enhancing the well-being of our communities through various initiatives.

Founded by a group of passionate individuals committed to celebrating and uplifting the Westnile community in North America and in the homeland, DUWA serves as a vital hub for connecting Westnilers in the DMV area. Our association provides a platform for community engagement, advocacy, and collaboration with local organizations to promote sustainable development and cultural awareness.
